Year 3& 4 Sports Hall Athletics 2025
Another fine team effort from the eight children who represented their school this Autumn Term. Across a range of track and field events the children gave their all! We finished top in the end by about 40 points, which is testament to the children’s commitment and ability. Mr Grafton had done some training sessions ahead of time and we are doing Sports Hall athletics this half-term in school. Thanks to all the family members who turned up to support. Well done children! Proud of you all!
Y3/4 Football Final at Tibshelf
The Y3/4 football team were worthy winners of a 6 team tournament at Tibshelf Community school. They competed against both small and large schools and put on an impressive show of football skills. Incredibly, they won all 5 games without conceding a single goal. Jack, our goalkeeper, was rarely called into action, protected by the defensive duo of Stanley and Georgia. Our attacking quartet of Conah, Florence, Darcie and Toby were ruthless. In total we scored 18 goals. Florence bagged a hattrick in one game and there were plenty of goals for Darcie, Conah and top scorer Toby.
Y5/6 Football at Shirebrook
The Y5/6 football team progressed to the small schools final after coming first place in the Bolsover cluster tournament. They were involved in a number of tight games but managed to work brilliantly as a team to be crowned overall winners. They won each game apart from the final game which finished 0-0. In the final standings, two teams were tied on points, but we scored 1 additional goal so pipped it on goal difference.
Cross Country 2025 Bolsover Area
What a fantastic effort from all our runners. The Year 3/4 children had to run 1200m and the Y5/6 boys needed to run 1500m. There were eight schools attending which was great – all bigger than BVPS. The girls went first and finished first! What a team effort with first place for Darcie and second place for Piper. The other girls were close behind! The Toby and Conah flew around the course as our only two boys from Year 4. Both boys placed in the top five finishers with Toby in third. Our older boys went finally, this was Jakub’s first run representing the school and he showed grit. The older boys finished second overall and Matt even collected another child’s trainer on the run! A great event and thanks to all the families who came along and supported.
Triathlon at Pleasley Vale 2025
A lovely day with two teams from BVPS. We ran, canoed and KMX Karted against lots of other local school teams. The event was well subscribed and there was lots of smiles and laughter. Well done to both teams who both finished in 4th place! We need to work on canoeing to improve our ranking next year. Watch the videos and enjoy the action. The Year 4 team attempted to paddle off the pond and down a sluice gate – extreme sports! Well done all of you and thanks for making it a fab day.
Sports Hall Athletics Derbyshire Finals 2025
What an amazing effort the children put in! Racking up more points in the field events than every before! We placed third out of six schools and Longstone Primary were the winners overall. To be third in the whole of Derbyshire is a major achievement! Well done, children!
Derbyshire Cross Country Final 2025
A ‘gutsy’ performance from our boys over a longer course of 1800m. The pace was fast from the start and the course had ups and downs. All boys dug deep and gave their all. A great team effort they spurred each other on. Silverhill Primary took first place with a combined score of 30. This was unbeatable on the day. The boys can be proud of themselves and my thanks to the families who supported them.
Moana Magic! Winding Wheel 2025
We could not be prouder of the 23 pupils who took part in this years Dance Show at the Winding Wheel Theatre in Chesterfield. 17 schools were involved this year, the most for some time and the standard and variety was excellent. The girls put on a captivating performance full of magic and story telling. The costumes looked great too! Our thanks to Miss Wilbourn for putting this routine together and organising costumes.
Bolsover Dance Together 2021 – A great performance by some of Bramley Vale’s finest! Thanks to Miss Wilbourn for organising this.
