This half term Class 5 have enjoyed learning about the Roman army and their shields. So we decided to have a go at making our own. The children loved doing this and really took their time and care when making them. Once made we went into the hall and practised the Roman formations or ‘the tortoise’ ‘the wedge’ and ‘the line of 3’. As you can see their shields are very good!
