My name is Margaret Cox and I am lucky enough to be a new Local Authority governor at Bramley Vale. I have worked in education all my life and until relatively recently, as a headteacher in a village primary school. So far, I have been able to visit the school to find out more about the phonics teaching that many of your children will be experiencing. I am very much looking forward to supporting Bramley Vale and its lovely children

Hello, I am Tristan. I am a teaching assistant here at Bramley Vale Primary School.
I have recently taken on the role as staff governor because I care so much about the children, and I always want the best for them. I believe in our school motto ‘Every Child, Every Day’ and I truly think that every child is important. I am looking forward to working alongside the other governors in making sure the children always come first.

I’m Jenny, and my children both attend Bramley Vale Primary School. I joined the Governors in September 2021 as I believe I can help to support the school with my skills and experience gained by running a local business.

I am trained as an home economist and worked in the food industry in Denmark. I then taught home economics in a Copenhagen school. I moved on to work for the Danish Ministry as a consultant and inspector for technical colleges. When I moved back to England I became a councillor which lead me to represent the Governing Body at Bramley Vale School. I enjoy coming in to school to help at events such as the Easter Bonnet Parade and Mothers Day.

Hello, I am Adam. I have an interest in Bramley Vale Primary School as my son is a pupil here.
I was co-opted into the governors here in July 2022 as I have recent, relevant experience of big building projects from a church renovation/big public space build in Bolsover.
In my work life, I have approximately 15 years’ experience working in various system and information settings I also have worked for approx. 6 years in the education sector and currently work for the NHS in Derbyshire.

I have been a co-opted governor for 6 years and have enjoyed working with the fabulous team at Bramley Vale Primary. I have worked in human resources in various industries during the past 30 years and also volunteer with the National Trust at Hardwick Hall and Stainsby Mill.
