How can I look after our planet?

USE IT UP, WEAR IT OUT, MAKE IT DO, OR DO WITHOUT!

Our CRAVE curriculum is taking us to the Seaside where we will experience the joys of the beach and ocean. geography is our focus this term, and whilst we learnt mapping skills earlier in the year, this time we will be focusing on natural physical features and human features. The beach is great place for us to start! We will also learn about showing care and concern for the world through the 3 R’s- recycle; reuse and reduce, agriculture, growing, healthy eating and materials.

We will be busy looking at number composition and the different pairs that make up 3, 4 and 5, what comes after and before using number lines and spotting missing numbers, counting sets and identifying if there is enough for everyone and finally collecting data presenting this as pictograms.

By considering ‘Growing up’ we will talk about our families and friends to see similarities and differences. We will consider how our behaviour can impact others and the natural world and what we can do to improve relationships with others and the earth.
