There are 18 Year 4 and 9 Year 5 children in our class. Miss Barker is the class teacher and we are supported by the lovely Mrs Dutton and Miss Wilbourn.
Autumn Term 1
This term our topic is ‘The Romans’. During this topic will be learning all about the Roman army and particularly focusing on the Roman invasions of Britain.
In English work, will be learning how to write non-chronological reports and narrative. As always, children will be given opportunity to read as much as possible within class to help move their reading on. Please ensure that your child has their reading bag with them every day. We are also enjoying our class book, The Thieves of Ostia. In science, our topic is ‘Animals including humans’ and the children will learn all about the function of the digestive system, teeth, and also food chains. PE on a Tuesday is sports hall athletics and we are swimming on a Friday.
We have lots of lovely lessons planned for the children to enjoy and get back into the swing of things!
All in all it should be a very busy term and I am really excited for what we have to come!
Best wishes and stay safe, Miss Barker
