Welcome to the Year 3 and 4 class
There are 28 children in our class. Mrs Conway is the class teacher and we are supported by our fantastic teaching assistants: Mrs Brown, Mrs Hall and Mrs Dutton. On a Tuesday and Friday afternoon, Mrs Hall teaches the class. Our PE days are Monday and Friday and from February half term we will be going swimming every Monday.
During the school closures I encourage children to try and be as creative as possible with their time – play in the garden, create pictures, write stories and read as much as possible. Use the links below to access a range of games and online activities and enjoy doing the packs. If you keep a record of some of the things you do during this time then we can share it with the class when we return to school.
Our class is named after the local English Heritage property, Bolsover Castle. The castle dates back to 1068 and has a lavish history involving royalty and entertaining. During the Autumn Term we visited the castle as a class, we learnt all about the Cavendish family and discovered why it is such an important part of the local area.
Our topic for this term is “Ancient Egypt”. We will be focusing learning about what life was like for the ancient Egyptians.
Please view our learning letter below, to see more about our topic and important information, including our timetable. We would like to encourage all children to take part in our home learning tasks, attached below. During the school closures, continue to work on tasks from the homework grid and keep your reading diary up to date.
Here are some links to games and activities we will be using this term.
